Excellent discussion. I guess liberal democracy is not threatened by a Pres. Sanders, but perhaps the ISIS model is a better antagonist to liberal democracy. What do you think?

You and I used to spend a fair amount of time trying to come up with future systems of government that were not liberal democracies (but were not Galactic-Empire level implausible), and I am glad to see that you are as sharp as ever.

Within the US, I'll agree with you. But on the international scale? Is that really working out that way?
