Maybe the Harvard and Beyond Project could be used to look at this? Quickly skiming http://scholar.harvard.edu/files/goldin/files/26_family.pdf, my first pass, looking to see if people in earlier cohorts got married less (because it wasn't 'appropriate' for women with a career to be married) is not what happened. Still, I bet there is something in this or the HBS data that would at least be suggestive.

Sadly I think the world values survey is to broad to have much to say about this.
