The Panama-Venezuela spat is continuing. (I know, among news from Venezuela this is among the least important, but it is a big deal in Panama.) No revelations yet on the bank account front, but Panama has taken a leaf from the E.U. will sue Venezuela at the WTO. The justification is that Venezuelan capital controls are, in effect, an illegal trade restriction.
This is the same route that the European Union took against Argentina after the YPF nationalization. Brussels could not legally retaliate for the act itself, but it could throw the book at Argentina over its capital controls.
Continuing.
