One of the reasons why my Boliblogging has fallen by the wayside is that there is an excellent new blog covering (largely but not entirely) Venezuelan issues: Setty’s Notebook. Setty is a journalist, a very good one in fact, with whom I am working on a case about the energy industry in the Bolivarian Republic. If I had a blogroll (Typepad’s fault, not mine) it would only have two entries: his and Ganchoblog.
Today he reports a stunning report about the collapse of Maracaibo’s economy following the nationalization of the oil services industry. I have a report detailing all the nationalizations (I got it in a very cloak-and-dagger way) and if I ever get the time I will say more. But right now, go read Setty.
Thanks Noel - you are too kind.
