The University of Puerto Rico could mostly be in California. The architecture is not unlike that found on the campuses of Stanford, Santa Clara, UCLA, Caltech, and even parts of Berkeley. But there are some things with little Cali equivalent:

Hell, no. If I were still 22, I'd probably be dead. To quote SoundGarden, I was looking California and feeling Minnesota. Not that there's anything really wrong with Minnesota, of course.
