We all know how Pennsylvania voted. But my wife and I, with our children, did not work to get out the vote across the entire state. We worked to get out the vote in one little suburban township bordering the city of Philadelphia. Did our efforts contribute to the tragic result of six days ago? Did Cheltenham, like Philadelphia, fail to meet its 2012 vote?
Our small efforts did not fail, even if they were not matched elsewhere. Individual efforts matter. Both to your own willingness to go on and to the ability of the country to overcome. Or the world.
