So let me get this straight. Drumpf flies in to Mexico City, goes to Los Pinos. (In a helicopter? I dunno.) Demonstrations against him are a damp squib, although Senator Gabriela Cuevas (PAN-National list) gives a blistering stemwinder that is a pleasure to listen to. Drumpf sings the praises of Mexican-Americans and gently prods President Peña about NAFTA. He could raise a killer point about the way Mexico treats undocumented Central Americans but (wisely) does not.
Peña joins in the love for Mexican-Americans and says he could work with Trump if elected. They say that they discussed the wall but not who would pay for it.
Seriously, what the fuck was that? Trump shows that he can control himself, but looks weak as a damned mouse in the late stages of yellow fever. I guess it was sorta kinda good for the Fat Crybaby, as in that any moment where he does not act like an impetuous child is a good one for him, but it is hard to see much of an upside.
I suppose it presages a more soporific Drumpf on the debate stage with Hillary, but who knows? I suppose he is betting that his supporters will turn out to the polls no matter how many crazy campaign promises he drops.
As for President Peña, well, there is nothing here that will make him more popular at home. And if this meeting does end up helping Fat Crybaby, well, I suspect that the Clinton Administration will remember. Oh, no major ramifications, of course ... but Peña better hope he needs no political cover from north of the border before the 2018 election.
Welcome to 2016. Have another cigar.
Trump immediately came back to the US and gave the most fascistic speech of his entire campaign, reiterating the craziest crap he said in his announcement speech on immigration, and making all the writers who drafted Here Is The Trump Pivot articles scramble to correct them.

The Insane Troll contingent no doubt was angered by his peaceful visit to Mexico, and he apparently considers them more important than 25 million Hispanic voters.
